Greensaw Design & Build was conceived in 2006 as a company dedicated to green building, kindness to clients, and impeccable work. The company has grown tremendously over the years, based on this approach. Greensaw is an employee owned co-op which employs architects and artists as well as carpenters and wood workers. Greensaw designs and builds all kinds of residential and commercial renovation projects.

Greensaw offers its own, in-house, design service, whereby clients can contract us to help develop and flush out designs. We place a strong emphasis on spatial arrangement, on lighting and material composition, and on responsible building. Our constant collaboration among designers and builders makes for a characteristically robust design. Greensaw has also teamed up with some of Philadelphia's best architects in the past to create some truly stunning projects.

Greensaw owns and operates a fully equipped wood shop in the Northern Liberties area of Philadelphia, which means we can easily customize cabinetry and furniture to suit a clients needs. Greensaw has an extensive and eclectic network of suppliers, and uses this to further personalize design.

Recently Greensaw has begun developing its street presence on 4th Street. When we roll up our garage door, you can watch us work. We have begun offering woodworking classes once a month, and plan on displaying our employees furniture lines on First Friday events.
