Born in Washington D.C. on May 17 in the one thousandth nine hundred and seventy sixth year of our lord, Dave will hold forth on any subject ranging from Japanese Socialism to obscure funk bands. He's also damn good at building cabinets. His mother is an artist — she paints flowers. Dave is a painter and sculptor, and has had solo shows in Philadelphia.
He loves surfing, the ocean, eating, and cooking in that order. He was a furniture maker in San Francisco before moving to Philly, where he wanted to work in green construction and design. He is an avid reader, with Murakami, Cormac McCarthy, James Baldwin and Shakespeare being some of his favorite writers. He attended college at the University of Maryland, and majored in literature with a minor in art and economics. He likes football but hates Donovan McNabb, likes the food in San Francisco but not the city, likes routers but only his Porter-Cable — basically there is a qualifier for everything with Dave, except for his superb work, where there is no qualifier at all.
