Mount Airy Façade

Client: Joycellen Auritt
Location: Mount Airy, PA

We knew the porch was in bad shape, but the true story didn't show itself until we took off the beadboard. Rot, rot, rot. And trim profiles in the old Mt. Airy house that we had never seen. Let the detective work begin!

We managed to rebuild the columns, find all the appropriate matching trim, rebuild the column plinth, point all the Wissahickon schist, jack up and repair a porch that was pulling off the house, and make it look like new – or old – however you choose to call it. In addition we repaired floor joists, porch flooring, matched the paint, and walked away leaving a porch that looked like it was happy to be attached to a stone house, rather than sinking back into the earth from whence it came...

Client Testimonial

"Greensaw reconstructed the side of the wrap-around porch of my 100 + year-old Victorian home. The crew could not have done a better job in terms of the quality of the work. They discovered an old column in the basement and came up with a creative way to use it, thus saving days of millwork and cutting the overall expense of the project. All were courteous, punctual and even charmed our famously grumpy next-door neighbor."
