What initially attracted Heath to Greensaw was not primarily the overwhelming number of advanced degrees and brain-power contained within the workshop; nor was it the discovery of a dream whereby design and craft could so passionately coexist; nor was it the soulful satisfaction that comes with being part of a young, talented generation with the vision and the drive to commit to the proven betterment of one's environment. What primarily attracted Heath to Greensaw was the wonderful strangeness that occurs at the nexus of all these things.

Heath is a peripatetic learner. He's travelled and studied Japanese, German, and English Literature at Gettysburg College, at Drei Koenigs Gymnasium, and at Kansai Gaidai. He has studied Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, and Stone Sculpting at Drexel University and the University of British Columbia. He's worked for large and small companies in architecture, landscape architecture, publishing, web design, and bartending in Vancouver, San Francisco, Atlanta, London, Osaka, and Philadelphia. He's worked plenty with his hands as well as his brains. And now he's focused. The culmination of his experiences and propensities elucidated a pivotal and often overlooked position that bridges the divide between design and build. His drive is now ever more towards the successful creation of energy-efficient and spatially beautiful buildings which facilitate environmental and ergonomic comfort, and happiness.
