21st & Pine Home Renovation
Client: Brendan Kelley
Location: 21st and Pine, Philadelphia
Project Manager: Brendan Jones
If jobs are love affairs then this was our first long-term relationship. Salvaged marble from the Divine Lorraine, over twenty white oak doors, two thousand feet of casement and a thousand feet of three-piece baseboard from St. Joseph's Rectory, salvaged oak foyer doors from a home in Devon, a walnut colonnade from a home in Bryn Mawr, two salvaged mantles – the list continues.
Along with installing the salvage, we repaired broken joists, leveled floors, poured wetbeds, framed up the entire Home, then tiled, trimmed, built fireplaces – everything. When the colonnade bases mysteriously disappeared, we built new ones. This home became our home away from Home, and we treated it as such. When it finally went on the market and sold, Brendan was kind enough to throw a big party. For the first time, we could step into the home without worrying about anything except if the beers were cold – which they were.
Client Testimonial
"Brendan Jones provided more than just skilled carpentry. He was able to apply creativity and vision to help us see our project from a completely different perspective. He was also able to navigate the architectural salvage process to find parts for our project that were stunning, appropriate and affordable. Brendan and Greensaw Design & Build have altered the outcome of this residential renovation project in a fantastic way."
