Greensaw treats each project as a collaboration between contractor and client. Our mission is to use green building techniques to convert the client's expectations into a finished product. Drawing on our expertise in both new and old sustainable building, and working with reclaimed materials, we help clients conceive a unique and beautiful finished product.

We strive to be a different type of contractor. From initial contact until the project is complete, we engage in continuous dialogue with the client to ensure that the project remains on track, and is executed in a manner consistent with the client's wishes. We see ourselves both as educators in the field of sustainable building, as well as students when it comes to understanding the client's vision.

Concretely, this means meeting with clients before work begins to review the project, agree on mutual expectations and set a timeline for completion. Clients receive a detailed building schedule, which we do everything within our power to hold to. We provide a detailed estimate outlining all costs, and do not leave surprises for the end of a job.

At core, we understand how disruptive a construction project can be to a home, as well as on other fronts. We therefore stay on schedule, remain on budget, and show up when we say we will show up. We do not spread ourselves between many different jobs, and always leave the site cleaner than when we arrived. This, in our eyes, is not asking for a lot; it is a source of constant surprise when clients are brought to tears when we knock on the door at the agreed upon hour, ready to begin work.
