Morgan Library Bookshelves

We were connected with Ethan through Old Good Things. He decided that he wanted two sets of the library bookshelves in his Home. We came down to Washington to take a look, met back at the wareHome to look at the different possibilities, and decided this was doable.
We took the shelves to our shop, broke them down and began the long process of repairing them. With a crown that is made up of nine separate pieces, this is no small task. In a word, each interaction with these shelves has been humbling. While we had worked on the shelves extensively for our New York Project, the custom nature of this project made it just as challenging.
Thankfully, Ethan was incredibly easy to work with, one of those rare customers who knows what he wants, how he wants it, yet is open to new ideas and suggestions. We came down to Washington and completed the install in a day and a half. We look forward to seeing the shelves with the original glass, filled with books, doing what they have been doing for the last 150 years.
